Hi! Mrs. Gillispie here. So, you want to know a little about me? I enjoy teaching Architecture! I also LOVE homeschooling (for 13 years now!), taking care of my incredible husband and wonderful children, but mostly our daily prayers!
I went to The Ohio State University and earned a Bachelor's of Science in Architecture. I spent 2.5 years at Trinity Seminary working on a Master's of Theological Studies in Church Architecture. I've worked as an architect independently as "A. Gillispie Design" and for others for about five years before my son was born, at which point I decided to leave the professional arena (although I have designed a few projects in the past fifteen years).
I've designed a few things that have been built: a church, houses, a horse farm, a hotel, among others, as well as many that have not been built (so typical for us ultra creative architects)!! I also worked on a few other building types: a courthouse, schools, retail stores, churches and office buildings.
Competitive in the classroom and office settings, I enjoyed challenging those around me. I've entered a few competitions. I won one of them!!
I worked my way through college entrenched in the field of photography, both taking pictures and developing them. I was a church organist for 12+ years and spent many years in a dance company. I also enjoy pets, skating, sewing and singing. I love the ARTS! I especially love using the Arts to bring Glory to Our Father in Heaven and showing others how to do so as well.
