Syllabus for Introduction to Architecture
Course Objectives:
- To become familiar with some architectural vocabulary
- To become familiar with 8 periods of architecture from Classical to postmodernism
- To learn the basics of design and drawing/modeling techniques
- To be challenged to think and work “outside the box” in 2-D and 3-D formats
Prepare for Week 1:
Email to your instructor 3-5 pictures that you really like! Be sure that you like both the image and the subject matter! THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!! REALLY LIKE THESE PICTURES. You need to be able to make a 5" x 7" copy of this picture to use it properly. Please email to your instructor. Once this picture is approved and you've collected your materials, you will receive the code to begin Week 1.
